Every furniture assembly job is quoted individually, because no two builds are the same. When you send us your details we look at how many items you have, which brand they came from, how much space we have to work in, and how complex the build is — a single bedside table and a six-door PAX run are very different pieces of work.
You get a fixed price quote before we book anything in, so the figure you agree is the figure you pay. There are no call-out charges, no hourly creep, no hidden extras and no surprise costs at the end of the job. If you find extra items after we arrive, we'll confirm a fixed price for those before we touch them. Quotes are free and there is no obligation to book.
To get an accurate figure first time, tell us the retailer, the product names or model numbers, how many items there are, and which floor they need building on. Photos of the boxes help enormously.
Planning an IKEA PAX wardrobe? Send us the design code from the IKEA Home Planner — the reference IKEA generates when you save or order your PAX plan (also shown on your order confirmation and planner PDF). It tells us the frame sizes, door types and every KOMPLEMENT interior in the design, so we can quote the full run accurately without guesswork.

IKEA is far and away the most common brand we build — PAX wardrobes, KOMPLEMENT interiors, MALM and HEMNES beds, KALLAX and BILLY storage — but our assemblers work daily with Argos, John Lewis, Wayfair, Dunelm and Next Home flat pack too. Each retailer has its own quirks: cam-lock systems, pre-drilled panels, sliding door mechanisms and wall-fixing requirements all differ, and knowing them in advance is what keeps a build quick and square.
If your furniture came from a brand not listed below, that is not a problem. Flat pack is flat pack, and we have assembled everything from second-hand marketplace finds to bespoke made-to-measure units.

Once you've accepted your quote we agree a date and an arrival window that suits you, including evenings and Saturdays where we have availability. Your assembler arrives with every tool needed for the job — no borrowing your screwdriver, no trips to the shop mid-build.
Before anything is opened we check the space, confirm exactly where each piece is going, and count the parts against the instructions so any missing fixings are spotted at the start rather than an hour in. Anything that needs anchoring to a wall for safety, such as tall wardrobes and bookcases, is fixed properly with the correct fittings for your wall type.
We build carefully rather than quickly, checking alignment, drawer runners and doors as we go. At the end we test every moving part with you, stack the empty boxes and packaging neatly, and leave the room usable. Nothing is signed off until you're happy with it.
Good To Know Before Your Booking
- Tell us your expected delivery date and we'll book a slot that gives the furniture time to arrive, with flexibility if the delivery slips.
- Packaging stays with you — we stack it flat and tidy, but removing waste from a property requires a licensed waste carrier.
- Tell us about parking, lifts, narrow stairwells or permit zones when you book, so the right amount of time is allowed.
- Let us know your wall type (plasterboard, brick, dot-and-dab) if anything needs anchoring, and we'll bring the correct fixings.
- We don't carry items up or down stairs — please have boxes in the room where the furniture is being built.
Furniture Assembly FAQs
Do you bring your own tools?
Yes. Every assembler arrives with a full professional tool kit, including cordless drills, socket sets, spirit levels and the correct fixings for anchoring furniture to different wall types. You don't need to provide anything.
Do you take the packaging away?
We break down and neatly stack all empty boxes and packaging so your room is usable straight away. We don't remove waste from the property, as that requires a licensed waste carrier, but leaving it flat-packed and tidy makes your own council or recycling collection straightforward.
Can you assemble furniture I bought second-hand?
Yes, we regularly build second-hand and marketplace furniture. If the instructions are missing we can usually work from the manufacturer's online guide, and if fixings are missing we'll identify what's needed so you can order replacements.
Do you work evenings and weekends?
We offer flexible scheduling, with Monday to Saturday availability from 9am to 5pm and later slots where our diary allows. Tell us the days and times that suit you when you request a quote and we'll match the closest availability.
Do you cover my area?
We cover all of Hertfordshire and Greater London, including St Albans, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Harpenden, Stevenage, Barnet, Camden, Islington and the City of London. If you're just outside those areas, ask anyway — we frequently travel a little further for larger jobs.
What happens if a part is missing or damaged?
We count the parts against the instructions before starting, so problems are found at the beginning rather than halfway through. If something is missing or damaged we'll build everything else that can be completed, tell you exactly which part number to order from the retailer, and arrange a short return visit to finish the job.
Can you build furniture if the original instructions are missing?
Usually, yes. Most manufacturers publish their assembly guides online and we can work from those, and after thousands of builds our assemblers recognise the majority of common cam-lock, dowel and bracket systems on sight. Send us a photo of the parts when you request a quote and we'll confirm before booking.
How soon can you come out, and can you book around my delivery date?
We book around the delivery date your retailer has given you, so you're not left waiting with boxes in the hallway or paying for a visit before the furniture lands. Tell us the expected delivery window when you request your quote and we'll hold a slot shortly after it, with flexible scheduling Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
