How We Build Your IKEA Furniture
Unpack & Check Parts
We open every box, match the parts against the IKEA instruction sheet and flag any missing or damaged item before building starts.
Build It Properly
Cam locks tightened correctly, dowels seated, panels square. No stripped fixings and no forcing parts that IKEA intended to slide together.
Anchor & Make Safe
Tall units are secured to the wall with the correct fixings for your wall type — plasterboard, brick or masonry.
Test & Tidy
Doors, drawers and runners adjusted and tested. Empty boxes are neatly stacked and the room is left clean.

IKEA Flatpack Problems We Solve
Instructions With No Words
IKEA diagrams leave out the tricky bits — which way a panel faces, or which cam lock goes in first. We build these units weekly, so we already know the steps the diagram skips.
Uneven Floors and Walls
Period properties across St Albans and inner London rarely have square walls. We shim and level frames so PAX doors close flush instead of drifting open.
Stripped or Missing Fixings
We carry replacement cam locks, dowels and screws so a single missing bag doesn't stop the build. If a major panel is missing we photograph it for your IKEA replacement claim.
Flatpack From a Previous Home
IKEA furniture that has already been built once needs care on the second build. We reinforce worn cam holes so units stay rigid after a move.

IKEA Assembly FAQs
Do you offer IKEA assembly near me?
Yes — we cover Hertfordshire and Greater London, including St Albans, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Barnet, Camden, Islington, Hackney and the City of London. Check the postcode checker on the areas page to confirm your area.
Are you affiliated with IKEA?
No. We are an independent flat pack assembly business, not an IKEA subcontractor. That means you book directly with us, choose your own time slot including evenings and weekends, and deal with the same assembler from quote to completion.
How long does IKEA furniture take to assemble?
Most single items such as a MALM chest, KALLAX unit or BILLY bookcase take under an hour. A PAX wardrobe frame with doors is typically 1-3 hours. Full room sets are quoted as a project so you know the plan before we start.
Can you collect my IKEA flatpack order?
We focus on assembly rather than delivery, but we can work around IKEA's own delivery slot or a courier drop-off. Tell us when the boxes land and we will book the build around it.
Do you dismantle IKEA furniture as well?
Yes. We dismantle and reassemble IKEA furniture for house moves, storage and room changes — see our dedicated dismantling and reassembly service for details.
What if a part is missing from the box?
We check the parts list before building. Small fixings we usually carry as spares; for a missing panel we photograph the packaging and part number so your IKEA replacement request goes through quickly, then return to finish the build.
How do I get an accurate quote for a PAX wardrobe?
Send us the IKEA PAX design code from your online plan or receipt, or a photo of the printed parts list. It tells us the exact frames, doors, interiors and accessories you have ordered, so we can give the most accurate fixed quote before we visit.
